OK - so I rant about my various PC's in the "geeky updates" on the blog a lot - and outside of a very select audience (i.e. me) it means exactly zero. So, I decided to shine some light on it by listing the machines I use, some information about them including how they do at SETI@Home. While I'm at it, I'll clarify something - I don't run the application because I'm expecting to find little green men (though that would be cool), I run it primarily for two reasons:
Because there is no way this kind of project would get the CPU resources it needs otherwise
Because it is an interesting way (from a geek P.O.V.) to benchmark different systems and learn about different OS/Architectures
